I am concerned about my wheels.
I have 5 spoke polished chrome aluminium wheels, but the inside of the wheels seem to be corroding!!
I am not sure if its the lacquer bubbling or the aluminium corrosion??
Has anyone else had these problems?
Can anyone recommend a remedy/protective coating?

I have the same wheels except mine are WS6 wheels. The only thing you can do if you want to drive your car regularly is clean them puppies every day. Clean wheels don't corode.

I use a product, the name I forget but it's a household metal cleaner in a blue plastic bottle which says long term metal and brass polish and is not abrasive like the pastes you can buy. It seems to have the desired effect (so far). In extreme conditions, a very thin coat of something like Copperease will protect the surface until the Summer.On the bright side, a set of Torque Thrusts look much better.

Can you get the name of the BLUE BOTTLE?
Where did you buy Copperease?
Am I correct in guessing Torque Thrust are wheels?

Well, looks like I'm experiencing some chrome problems of my own. I took my car to the wash rack today, and started spraying one of the wheels off, and a big flake of chrome came off. Talk about pissed. I think chrome sucks now.. I never had problems before with silver wheels.. I am so damn pissed right now.. It's probably not even worth it to send it back...

I have taken mine back to the Vauhall/Opel dealer and GM are replacing ALL the wheels for brand new ones!!
Must be costing GM a fortune. Its worth a try for you.
What I am trying to do is pu some extra protection on the new wheels before I put them on the car.

The blue bottle is called Goddards Long term Brass and Copper Polish. No mention of chrome but it seems to work. Available in most supermarkets etc.
