Gentleman I was wondering if you ran into the same problem I did after the Auto X, My new wheels are scuffed up. What do you recommend to bring it back to original. Any ideas from you or any other experts would be great. It would also help If I didn't run over every cone I approached. lol

Do you mean the tire itself.
If the outside of the tire is ate up . you can do an off the rim rotation , to move the outside to the inside and then mount it on the opposite side of the car. That is unless your tires ar side /corner specific.
For the future you can have more negative camber dialed in the front to alleviate a little bit of it.

Tires are good, it was the wheels that got scuffed up pretty good. What do you suggest to clean and restore the finish on the aluminum wheels

Gil,
it was the actual rim itself? What tire presure are you running? I ran 38psi in all of mine. Check the your air presure, I run mine alittle below max. Are the tires you have recommended for that rim width or are the rims alittle wide? Are they clear coated? I know alot of questions and no answers, you have acouple of options depending on if the rims are clear coated or not. Let me know.
Val

Okay Gil
I think you might have cone scuff marks on the rim . Is it only on the clear coat and not down to the metal. If that is what it is then a good cleaner wax will take care of it in no time.

I think you are both right, there is a clear coat on the rims so I don't believe it went down to the metal. Lucky for my I had the bra on the car and I avoided some damage in the front. I will try some polish. Val like you said I might have to adjust the pressure on the rims probably loose some air perhaps 35. This won't stop me from racing next time, I wish there was a race this weekend. :)
