For washing off all the dead flies on the front bumper I use Sonax Insektenentferner.
Two minutes after applying the spray I can easily remove the flies, but still the bumper looks dull.
Are you using some polish to remove the spots?
I was told that one should not apply any mechanical force for flies removal, because the hard Chitin body of the flies will cause scratches.
So, what are you doing?
Cheers!
Gunnar

Gunnar,
I'm used to washing my car by hand in my driveway. Since I've gotten here to Weisbaden I've been stuck using the car wash (with the high presure wands), it's washed every week. That takes the bugs, everything off(except paint and shine). I wax it 1 to 2 times a month because of the car wash. I won't use any cleaners or things of this nature for fear I'll damage the clear coat paint. This morning I went to wash it after I went for my Saturday morning cruise and the nose looked like a bug graveyard, it's all gone now and still looks brand new. Hope this helps
Val

There was some tapping, so I turned it in to the dealer. That was 2 months ago. I called them Wednesday, and they are still waiting on parts...

I know how you feel. I waited a freakin' year to get all the parts for my car. Someone stole my package from the APO in NY. There was a criminal investigation over that one. But they still weren't to quick to expedite my delivery.
Anyway, to the subject at hand...Windex is a quick and easy way to get the bugs off.
