The stripes are really easy to work with if you take your time and actually care about what your doing. To many people just throw them on and it looks like crap or they put stickers all over them and it looks twice as bad. If done right it makes a world of difference. Nice thing about "sticker stripes" is there is hardly no prep time(wet sanding, prep for paint, mixing, all that crap that goes with the paint)I painted the stripes on my 73 and it's a pain in the A$$ compared to the "stickers". Just my personal opinion.

Still want to paint both cars, and maybe the Corolla.
Want the Dodge back to black as it was in the beginning.
with the stripes... want it to be like original.
And Hawk, the different cars are for different jobs
one for daily driver, one for cruising, one for racing, one for towing, ...
don't want to try to pack all in one.

I think I have decided on a color... Burgundy Metallic. Differant, yet refined.

I have to say I think that the Burgundy Metallic would look better than the purple, but it is whatever floats your boat.

RT1 when are you doing the stripes on the car. Just remember to take your time when you do it. I have had mine on over 7 months now and they are still on no problems whatsoever.

Well the time depends on when I get an e-mail back from them about prices. There is only one stripe kit for the Camaro. Which is a shame after seeing all the kits they have for the TAs and Firebirds. It looks like they sell it by the foot, that gives me a bad feeling. I don't want the ground to ground look. I want it to look like the RS kinda stripes, where it starts just before the hood. I guess we will see...
Thanks for all your help with this though, and I will not hesitate to get more help when I do get them.

Well the wife went surfing the net one day, after I said that I was going to go with the orange stripes from RKSport. After calling them they said that they don't carry that color anymore, so she went searching the net. She found a site that does the 30th Anny stripes in any color you want. So I am back to the burgandy metallic. Jack, they also have the 35th stripes, and solid 35th anny stripes, here's the link if you wanna check it out. It's good chit. http://63.74.14.89/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=Graphics&Category_Code=Chevrolet

Yep I ordered them the other night. I got the 30th anny stripes in a met burgandy. Should look pretty nice when I get the car all done. I am also going to get the bowtie and a RT1 for the back, for where the Z28 is usually. That way you know who just pass you. Hehehe.

Likewise your ride is looking meaner and meaner everytime I see it. would you believe that I am still looking for that pontiac racing sticker like you have on your car???? It is impossible to find online.
Did you ever find out why I left the auto x earlY.
Well on my 3rd run my sway bar decided to go one way and the car the other so the rest of the weekend it was all drag racing for me. I just had to show run 4 cover what a stock lt1 could do to a nissan 200sx. lol
So I am ordering new front and rear sway bar and then watch out ls1 owners because I am going after you.j/k
See you in bitburg on Friday.
Are you going to the all pontiac meet labor day weekend???

Gil,
Sorry to hear about the sway bar. Unfortunately I'll be stuck in Geissen teaching a course for 2 weeks so I won't be at Bitburg. I'll be at Sembach on 1 sep, wife's got me on a budget, but I'm working on her for the last Bitburg of the season. I'll let you know if there are any changes.
RT1,
Who'd you end up ordering your stripes through? It sounds like it'll look awesome when it's done. Let me know how it turns out.

Val, I got them from a place called Stripeman.com. The link is on the earlier post, if you wanna see 'em. They have a bunch of stuff for the TA's also. Check it out, they do all the stuff in any color you want, or any combination of colors.

Aha, finally you fbody's have discovered what ricers have known for years. More stickers = more power. Just be careful not to apply them in such a haphazrd fashion that they ruin your aerodynamics. While I've seen some stickers net up to 50 horsepower at the wheels, a lazily applied sticker may result in a grisly death

WTF! How come nobody told me stripes could hurt my hapees. I don't want to go slow, I need all the help I can get. Maybe if I just put one stripe down one side of the hood? That would cut down on some drag... hmmmm.
