I was wondering if anyone found a good place that installs window tint over here. I need my windows black. I have heard bad things about some guy in Vilseck, aparently an AAFES thing, pealing and didn't cover the back window completely. Anyway... I just want something that lasts and is good quality. Any help will be appreciated.

I went to OK Car Styling a few years ago, and they did a real quality job. I don't know if they still do it, but you could definitely ask. If you don't know where it is, it is off of the road that goes from B40 to Ramstein!! ;)

Jack... Not sure where you are talking about, I live near Wuerzberg. I should be that way around the 3rd or 4th for the show. Is there a phone # or something that you have, that would be better than driving all that way. Thanks for your help.

I had mine done here in Holland by a company that gives 10 years of warranty and they do the Royal family cars too so it must be good.
Ask Roy what he thinks of my tint.
I paid 450 for both door windows and the rear window (4 strokes, totally invisible due to craftsmanship and use of defogger lines).

I believe you should have it done correctly or not at all as it will start to fade, peel, etc after time and you have to do it again.

Jack... How much did you end up spending, and how did they do on that fade part, on the top of the back window? I have seen some that looked like crap, because of bubbles.

That backwindow will always be a bit bubbled even how hard they try !
There are 2 solutions:

1. Sanding it down
2. Spraypainting that top piece plain black like the rest of the toppart and start tinting below that.

I had no bubbles or peeling on the rear window of my 95. It was a single piece also. It can be done. Sometimes you pay extra for the right job...

One recommendation I can make is to use a film that uses aluminum particulate as tint instead of dye. It will NEVER fade and will NEVER turn purple with age. Had it on an M3 once (sniff sniff) and loved it. Wasn't so dark I couldn't see thru it at night and blocked a tremendous amount of radiant heat from the sun.

Believe it or not I've "heard" that the affes over at Vogelweigh is actually decent at it. Have NO first hand experience with them. I'm still spending my money on go fast parts to try and keep the f-body heads bowed in shame.
:-fruit: Woo Hoo!!!

Screw all those theiving bastards. Get yourself some Foliatech tint and do it yourself. It's really not that difficult. It just takes a little patience and a sharp razor...and a flat cutting surface...and a spray bottle and maybe a real squegee instead of the POS that comes with the kit. And you might want to get a little extra because you will probably mess it up the first time. But other than all of that int's not too difficult!

Rob.... hotrod tint's windows.. I was going to have him do mine but I ran out of time... He did his own ride and it came out excellent... and I'm sure he wouldn't be to expensive. Later!
