These wheels are gonna be a pain to keep clean. Have a look at this picture. You see on the inner rim there is a ridge. well this turns the area between the spokes and that rim into a millpond and a natural collection area for all the dirty water whenever you wash the car. Think I'll have to buy a pressure hose!

I hate polished wheels. I will never have a set again. It will either be chrome, black or silver! They're such a pain in the royal arse to keep clean.

It's certainly a royal pain in the ass. It's no longer a pain in the royal ass as I stopped the Queen from cleaning my wheels as she had difficulty bending...and to be honest she did a crap job.

"Stick to driving your LandRover, luv" I said to her as I gave her 50p for trying.

@ LuS1fer

I know what you mean ;), but when the sun is shining and the rims are clean, the car looks really nice - as you and me know ;) :D :D

And the work is it worth !!!!

Greetings
Martin

But you are right, it´s a constructive fault with the inner part of the rim :( :(

I know that they are a pain to clean but those rims are bad a@@ looking when they are clean. I want some for mine.

POR15 has a kit like Goopseal, to seal the rims after polishing them. POR15 said that it's a one time deal and you won't have to touch thenm again. kit is $105.

After you use that stuff, do you just wash it off?

No, from my understanding, it does not come off. It's kind of like a protective coating, which stays on.

The POR15 is a 3 step process but once it's done your supposed to be good! I really started looking around for something after polishing the wheels on the wife's truck twice a year. I did find that Eagles Aluim polish, cordless drill with a polishing wheel makes them look like chrome and lasts for about 6 months at time. Takes about 2 hours to get all four rims done. Check out the POR15 site http://www.POR15.com I bought the por15 in black and painted my 9in rearend and center section with it, I was really impressed with it and how nice it came out!!

That Eagle stuff is good- I have it! I'm sure it's a lot easier with a polishing wheel, though!
