Hey. First of all... Nice car you have. I just have a quick question. My husband has a camaro which appears to be the same color as yours..... mystic teal metallic. Looks the same in the pic. He has camaro on his windshield as well :o). Anyways, I was just wondering if you got the ground effects and/or the spoiler while overseas, and if so, where did you get it painted. I'm trying to get him all that stuff for Christmas, but am afraid that the local chevy dealer won't have the right paint. Every single time I go there they blow me off like a stupid American. Go figure. Thanks for you help :o)

Mila

Hi, i had a friend in the USA paint my spoiler and GFX by his friend.
It was cheap, easy and looks okay but i'm NOT satisfied.

Shipping is hard as it needs to be creatively packaged and even then paint nicks can occur and you NEVER know what you're gonna get.

Here in Europe they can paint A LOT better than GM itself could do, just look at that cloudy paint on our cars.
They CAN mix ANY color and even with fading they WILL match the color.
Mine was painted in the USA according to the 37U color option code and was a perfect match (NO fading in years of outdoor life !) but this can be different with other colors.
Mine is different frok yours, Bright teal met. differs a bit from Mystical teal.

I WOULD highly recommend having it done here, but make sure to tell them 3 things:

- Perfect match otherwise NO PAY
- Smooth paintjob, no clouds otherwise NO PAY
- NO painting residue on other (non painted) panels, otherwise NO PAY

If you live by those rules you WILL be okay, and believe me they can do a better paintjob here than most shops in the US do !!!

Feel free to ask Questions

P.s. thnx for the compliments

Hey thanks Sergio. I will look around here for somebody to paint the parts. I've been warned about the chevy dealer down our street, so I will look for other places. I figured shipping the parts would be a task on it's own. Hopefully, nothing too bad will happen. Are you going to Hockenheim on the 8th of Sept.? Thanks for your input... I'll probably be asking for more advice in the near future :)

Don't look to the Chevy dealer to do the painting. Find a quality body shop, and shop around for the best prices. Don't sacrifice quality for price, though!!
