Just got the vynil color sample package from Vinzdecals. Glad I did also. It's alot better in person, not just seeing the same color for five or six shades of silver. Jr, you said you used the silver metallic or just plain silver?

Firebird decals should be stuck only on 2nd Gen Firebirds when tacky was acceptable. Big bowties should not appear on back windows (ditto Oakley, Kenwood etc etc). Stripes are the only retro cue that are not hugely tacky but ghost flames could work. The key is subtlety. Ever see a Porsche with a big Porsche badge etched on the back window or sprayed across the bonnet? Ever see an XR3i with a big XR3i sticker down the side and Kenwood across the rear window? Exactly.
By the way, black cars are faster as they absorb more light making them lighter and radiate heat which is notoriously heavy. Silver cars get weighed down with all those light rays bouncing off them all the time. It's just a question of physics really.
