with Opel? I'm really getting sick of waiting for my car. If I would have known it was gonna take this long, I would have just found someone to help me do it myself. If anyone knows someone that might be able to help, please tell them to call 06841-909101. I like the ride, but I'm sick of all the BS with having it over here.

Hm ... we had a couple US people working for Opel Eisenach as customers, but AFAIK they are gone again ... I'll check if there maybe is someone left - don't know whether they would be able to help, though ...
Do you happen to have a "Rechtschutzversicherung" (insurance that covers lawyer costs)? If so, have a lawyer write up a letter with a deadline ...

Would that be sensible, though? I mean how long should one normally expect their car to stay in the shop? Going on 4 months seems awfully extensive....

Dam man 4 months!! I went nuts on the OPEL dealer in Bitburg when it took them a week to do my top.... but anyways.. one thing I learned over there is to go to the legeal office on base... when I left I had issues with my cell phone company and the legal office cleared it right up! They have german lawyers there that speak engilsh and it's free.... all you have to do is make an appointment! Hope this helps you out! Later!

There is a guy I know that does all the work on my car and the 95 I used to have. He specializes with american motors. Cheap and a damn good mechanic so good that I was going to check with the GM corp to get my warrenty work done through him!! Dirk Groff..Zell/Barl on the mosel river north/east of Bernkastel. Trust me he's da bomb!!! It might be a drive but he will tell you what the problem is, the history of the problem, best ways to fix it, cheapest way to fix it, and do an outstanding job!!Yeah I'm on his tip but after dealing with Werkmeister's (bitburg opel)bullshit.....
