If your plate is mounted at an angle, you might have a chance. If your plate is in the windshield because "you are waiting for one from the stateside GM dealer" like myself, (even though I've owned the car since '96), you should be golden. I got flashed doing about 225-230km once a 120k zone started a few years ago and got nothing. (I was coasting after showing off to my passengers.) Makes me slow down before a speed limit zone now. Since you were on your way to the hospital, maybe you could use that to your advantage. I liked the one reply about getting off on a technicality. Use whatever you can to help. Next time try some hairspray on the plate before you venture out. It kinda turns your plate white on the photo. This tip actually came from a MP and it does work most of the time. GOOD LUCK!

I guess you'll just have to see if you get it. Meanwhile, there is nothing you could do right now, so if you come to that bridge, you'll just have to cross it.
BGB SS1, you are not the first and you surely won't be the last.
If you never get to that bridge, then forget it (easier said than done)
Any way you look at it, just consider it some experience.
Over here on the Autobahns ( it is very common) you have to be prepared to brake HARD and HEAVILY on a split second notice due to speed restrictions/ camera or any situation in which you may find yourself.

I got flashed recently. I was on my motorcycle.
camera out on a bridge IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE at a location that I will not say.
People in opposing traffic where giving me signals- I slowed down a bit- but it still did not make sense. Rural road- in nowhere's ville- possible, but I have never known there to be a camera further down.
steady cruise at 160 KPH I figured the speed limit might be 120 KPH or 100 KPH so if I did get stopped I would be able to pay the fine and keep going.
rural road . Crossing over a small bridge on the other side of the gaurdrails I saw a small box- with a hole in the center- then FLASH!!!
as I got right next to it. As I passed I still looked back at the little box in utter amazement.
There was no one around, and it was not one of those that take front and back pictures.
Even though I was helmeted and have no front license plate I was pissed because I could have easily caught on to that camera WELL BEFORE I ever got to it.
But now I know better.

Those covers many times don't work as wanted - through computer work, many times the picture can be optimized to show the tag number ...

At least if they had to do some computer stuff to the pic to get the tag it would be a little effort on their part rather than just a blanket "heres a ticket." Its the fact they do nothing and we pay fine parts that burn me up about those photo things...regardless of who may be driving the car.
A friend of mine loaned her SUV to someone and they got one of those tickets and she had to pay it because she couldnt prove she wasnt driving that day. So, she got the points and the fine for it.

Really? Here in Germany if they cannot prove that YOU drove the car you don't have to pay the fine. The owner of the car also does not have to reveal the identity of the driver. To know this can be quite helpful. 
However, I don't think that it's the same with Army/Military people...?

Hm ... not quite ---- usually, the owner has to pay the fine, but he does not have to reveal the driver - but court might rule he has to keep a list of drivers for a certain period of time ...

also- aftermarket headlight covers are not authorized on USAREUR vehicles. Only if it is installed by the vehicle manufacturer. However it is not actively enforced. like.....hhmmm radar/laser devices...shhhhh!!!!
Even though a few of us posses these devices. (hangs head in shame)
