We've had the Fast And the Furious, a remake of Gone In 60 Seconds, now prepare for the Italian Job. To be remade using the new Mini, it will be set in LA and will presumably be called The Non-Italian Job.
I envisage that we will get a remake of Bullitt using the new Mustang in due course and a remake of American Graffiti where the local street rod takes on a Honda Civic with a 5" tail-pipe.
Which reminds me, a friend of mine just took his Corvette down to the muffler shop for a repair and some guy had a Ford Escort RS2000 with twin 3" exhaust tips which had necessitated cut-outs in the rear valance (rocker panel?). Anyway, he was having them removed. Phew! But no, he was having twin 5" tips put on. Pahahahahahahahaha
