Had a ball on Sunday. Turned in my best time so far, a 13.8 at 105.14mph. Sure, small potatoes on this board but it beat a Viper GTS500 pumping 550bhp.
I ran him 3 times. I had him on the first run to 3/4 of the way down the track until he blew by me with a terminal speed of 118! The second run we both messed up due to a post-oil cleanup, no traction at all and laughable results. It took the 3rd run to beat the Viper but only because my reaction time was so much better. The Viper actually ran the quarter in 13.75.
The Viper has run 12's before but the track was damp and still drying out. A new 405hp Z06 only ran a 14.1 but I think it's still running in as it only ran once. Either that or it was so ashamed, it ran and hid.
A Lightning was running very fast times but the supercharged engine sounds crap! Put me right off Mustangs if they sound as bad as that - more a flat drone than a V8 howl.

sounds like a blast. Doesnt really matter how fast you run as long as its fun.
Kinda interesting comment about the lightning. Every one I've seen run you cant even hear the engine, that blower is just LOUD!! First time I saw one dyno I about dropped my handycam. HOLY BANSHEE BATMAN!
