We have a new BSB CDR here in Vilseck. We have done all the risk assesmennts for the track. Goal is to get CDR to buy off on the Operation Street Legal and allow us to Drag race legally. It is not looking good for Sept politics ,Safety,DPW and so on DCA 100ASG is planning on OCT Columbus day weekend, where we could race until our hearts are content. Tony is very busy however he is working Hockenheim in October and assisting with the track set up here in Vilseck. It is alot of work organizing this stuff, do you guys want us to continue to try to make this a reality. If it goes as planned we would organize Bracket for everyone, Heads up to settle disputes and friendly betting. Next year we would schedule about three race weekends and merge with other tracks to increase the number of races to bring in the sponsers. Tony has asked if he could sponser F-body europe. He could be a great asset to the club, he needs our support to create the racers and public interest so that we can make friends, talk, race and have fun in one german summer. If you have any sugestions let me know. If I am way off base here please let me know.

I think that is awesome that people are making an honest effort to establish a 1/4 track. This is the perfect time for you "street cars" to go out there and kick azz, cuz there wont be to many full on race cars running around.

Fbody Europe, if you dont support this your foolz.

Good job man!!! And I hope the turn out is great.

October would be cutting it awfully close - remember, we're in Germany, not FL or CA ... does the word "weather" ring a bell? :( I mean, September will probably mean pretty high risk as to track conditions, but October ...

Sounds like a great plan :)

I guess with the Internet and all the meetings, there should be quite some possibilites to get this to a good start ... I mean, after all we already got 56 people to sign up for the board in what - 4 months? And that's only F-Bodies ... Anyway, on a more realistic side, I do think there may be quite a few US car owners who will never race their car ... in contrast to the States, where a Rustang or F-Body and the likes are more or less daily drivers, cars like that are a bit more rare and special cars for people here ... but heck, if we can get the import and german rice to come ... :) After all, they can and probably want to race, too!

October is usually a pretty safe bet, unless you're talking high elevation. I would definitely be interested, as long as it wasn't wet, or snowy! ;)

Positive side effect: We can have a good laugh at the german rice ... ;)

I support it all the way, hopefully this time it works out. Glen was trying to open a 1/8th in Schweinfurt with Tony's help, but it got shot down at the last minute by command. It would probably take a soldier or airman to die in an illegal car race for them to consider "Operation Street Legal"!

We should have the program together in about 2 weeks there will be bracket and heads up. you will get your RT,60ft times 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times with trap speeds. We have the tree in the connex. Right now for the first race we will use the volksfest plan to get the airstrip setup. I will keep you posted.
