In the November issue of Car and Driver magazine, page 40, there's an article titled, "Cooking Up a Little Something for the Dream Cruise." The article is about a couple of GM concept cars developed through GM's "Employee Enthusiasm" volunteer program for the Dream Cruise on Woodward Boulevard in Detroit.

Quote from the article, "The 'Goat,' the nickname of the GTO, has an unusual 6.4-liter pushrod V-8 under the hood, in fact, an LS7 block from a Corvette that's not even out yet - next year's Z06. The rest of the engine uses bits from the LS1 (the C5 engine) and LS2 (the C6 engine). The monster motor packs 575 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque and can rev to 7000 rpm."

All I can say is WOW...575 hp from the factory!

sounds like a crate motor swap in the future
