It would be like old times.

Nellis is awesome, but housing is outrageous around here. I only get 667 for BAH, and can't get a one bedroom apartment for that. Well, not one where I would feel safe sleeping at night. They did a study this past year on housing costs here, but they gave us a minimal increase. Apparently some big shot went to washington to try to get us an out of cycle increase. I'm spending 200 a month out of pocket to have a nice place with a 2 car garage, and it's just a condo. We got guys in my shop that are selling their homes and making over 130k...lucky bastards.

The new job has been boring so far, but it should pick up soon. I'll be headed for the sandbox this summer for a minimum of 6 months. word is we'll be gone for at least 8. Who knows. AT least I'll be able to afford my motor and other crap.

You are right Jack, it will be like old times. It's official too we are heading back in May/June. We update or preferrence sheet in Jan when the list comes out. HOPEFULLY TX will be on there and we get it! I want to check out San Antonio and the whole racing scene, build a house and retire. I'm feeling Houstin but don't know if there are any military facilities in that area. Got to take advantage of my retirement bennies ya know?
