How's everyone doing? I'm taking a break from 3 months worth of straight TDYs (UK, Japan, Korea). I was just kicking back surfing the net and dropped in to see what's going on. Other than it being freakin' 103 outside...its all good here in San Antone.
Joined the San Antonio F-Body Association right after I got here. Its just getting started for the most part, but we have weekly GTG at one of the local bar and grills that rope off areas for the cars. Mostly 4th Gen cars...one 68 Camaro with an LT4...and a handful of 3rd and 2nd Gen cars. It's nice that San Antonio Dragway is real close...we have F-Body shootouts monthly and Mustang/F-Body grudge matches as well.
The T/A I shipped non-op out of Germany is running and very well to date. 1500 miles on the new engine I installed at Kapaun and everything works including the A/C and cruise. $1800 total invested (including the shipping)...not too bad. Good thing I was here when I first started the car...I needed nitnoid stuff and it was nice having the parts stores so close (especially after the radiator blew up
)
The US is great and all, but I miss Germany and being overseas. Besides, I'm down to my last case (in 15) of German beer I had shipped
