Well, it took longner than they said, but my car finally came in. Before I went to go pick it up in Atlanta, they said that the clutch was bad. It was worn so bad, that they said it sounded like "metal to metal". Hmm! I went to pick it up. Taking a truck and trailor. I get there and pretty much all the interior plastic is broke. The console looked like it was rpped out and laid back down. But the clutch, oohh that f*ckin clutch! It would NOT go into gear. I had to try it with the motor off. Still nothing. Sounded like the ranny was about to fall out!
I get it to a shop and rip out the old one. And, since my street twin was in my TMO, its in Little Rock! So, back to stock! I rip out the old one and it is not worn, its SNAPPED!!! WTF, over??? They are trying to tell me that it is mechanical failure and they won't pay for it. MY ASS! I'm going to legal in Little Rock and get this straightened out! Wish me luck
Any ideas what could have done this? Also, the power steering pump shaft was broke. I drove the piss out of this car for 2 years and these jack asses put 3 miles on it and damn near destroy it. No scratches though.
Pics soon. F8ck that company! I'm telling you, pay the price and ship it yourself!
I did get the GMMG installed. Not the headers yet

That's a bunch of bull dude. I don't know how badly they would have had to have driven it to snap it, but I would be pissed too.
I'm glad they didn't scratch the paint, but the damage to the interior is just ridiculous. Those people have no respect for other's property.

Jason,
My dad shipped my 78 olds drag car to Germany for me back in the early 90s. He said they drove it like they stole it. They thought he was out of sight. He said he could hear the tires spinning and the motor reving hard. Sorry to hear that your clutch and power steering pump are destroyed. When the clutch went it could have locked the motor at a high rpm and that may have caused the pump to snap. I hope you don't have any engine damage.

Everything else checks out. The manager in Atlanta says that they would have weeded out any guys who would dog a car. I would love to show him that clutch. Then, hit him in the head with the pressure plate

That was a brand new clutch. I remember watching you put that in w/ Jack! WTF?! See man I told ya.......it's only natural for guys to want to tear some chit up when they see a nice car. Ship that sucker INOP period!
As far as your interior well that crap was phugged up from the beginning. LOL! J/K. That's some b.s. too. It doesn't take much for someone to rag your car out in under 3 miles. I hope there wasn't do damage to the engine. I'd drain the oil and check to see what comes out and put only a qt back in and run it. I'd have them assess buying me a new stroker. I told ya you need receipts I got them all.
I don't want 50% just a couple hundred bucks will do.

Jason,
Sorry to hear that they FOCKED up you ride. I've been down that road. They blew the clutch out of my 92 Firebird (@22K miles)when I shipped it back. I got a fix for them this time......my Predator programer.....will set the rev limiter at 4000rpms to try and curve that crap.I was not able get them to pay for anything at all, I was out $400 and my time to replace it.

4K Val? That's too high.....it's called burn outs and you can do plenty w/ 4K rpm's. Side steppin and doing dukes of hazard chit in the Chicken........bump that!
I'm pulling the starter along w/ the coils. LOL! They'll be lucky enough to push the bastard as far as I'm concerned.
When I drop mine off I'm video tapin the whole process. That'll scare the chit out of them and let them know I'm not phuggin around. I got way too much invested in it for someone other than me phuggin it up, ya heard?!

I was thinking about trying to find a way to hook up a camera in the car so it started recording when the ignition was on and stoped recording when they shut it off. ya know they have really big hard drives and it probably wouldn't be to hard to hook up some sort of digital camera or something.
and by the way jason that really sucks. I don't know about a clutch from an lt1 but I know I had to really do some mean crap to break the one in my old truck with a 3 speed. like side stepping the clutch at 4 thousand rpm.
I saw the FOD at the junk yard today. it seems to be coming apart nicely.

I had hoped Jason would bring it Bitburg for everybody to have a turn at beating it to pieces
@Jason: Sorry for that, I guess shipping a sports car through the Army is a bad idea if it's running ... Guess it really needs to be inop or max rpm @1500 or something like that ...

That SUX dude. They really need to get a new contractor. They think customer service and truth are 4 letter words. They scratched Linda's truck and, despite a $1300 estimate, they said they would give me $300, take it or leave it. I told the manager to stuff it. I would recommend you take some pictures, if it isn't back together yet, and send them to your Congressman and Senators and complain. It won't get you any money, but at least someone in MTMC will have to answer it. If enough people did that, they would get tired of having to answer all the Congressionals and start harassing the contractor. That's my only suggestion. It won't get you anything, but it would be a headache for the idiots that keep them as a contractor. Hope you don't find anything else wrong.

Thats BS. Im getting pissed for you thats crap i hate them. Im tired of this type of crap. I bought a 2002 dodge startus w/ 12,000miles on it, no dents perfect paint , 1 week later some construction worker hit it on ramstein, I called the MPs since there was no one to see it happen they couldnt do anything, as the MPs were going to leave a forklift carrying a round peice of cement, thats right the cement peice fell off came inches from hitting one of the MPs and rolled into there car. They worker just shruged his shoulders picked up the peice and went rolling along.
Im sick and tired of people not giving a crap around others whos hobbie is there car. Ok enough of me getting pissed
Hope everything works out for you
