Pulled the car into the garage during the bad weather and now I've got a huge pool of oil under the car. I haven't even made it to the initial oil change on the new motor yet. It looks like the leak started as I was backing the car into the parking space.
Is it possible for a one piece rear main seal to go bad that quickly? Are the seals different in different model years? For example, a '89 seal in a '98 block.
I'm almost ready to turn this project over to someone else and buy something I can't modify.
