base which is what we are in the business to do. But we have lost over $6000 in
products trying to ship to APO addresses and can not continue to do that and
stay in business.

Most of our oversees customers have their products shipped to a friend or family
member in the states and forwarded on. If you'd like to do that, we'd be happy
to. If you'd rather we cancel the order, we will do that as well, it is up to
you. Just let us know.

Doesn't APO offer any registered shipments anymore? I thought back when we still had an active base here in Hersfeld, my parents had an APO address and they had registered mail/packages then ... that would put the liability on the side of the USPS, sparing the companies of any cost for replacing or refunding ... !?

PFYC has a few things that I want to buy as well, but won't do APOs. I've heard a few complaints about bad customer service from them reciently too.

It sucks, but they only thing you can do is get it shipped to someone in the states and have them forward it to you with USPS. If I was going to be here another week, I could have brought them back with me. Sorry man.

BTW, the black wheels will look

Garry yes they do as well as insurance. Ryan you can either use shipit APO or file a grieveance with the USPS for companies using unfair mailing practices.

Since I worked for the APO fo 6.5 years and hold the ASI for Postal Operation, F5, I think I can say BULLSHIT on this one. Please give me this knuckleheads address so I can explain to him how the PROPER WAY to ship something to an APO is. I get this all the time when I try to buy things and then I have to wast my time and money explaining it to them. Many time I filled out the forms and sent them in an empty box so that they would not "screw it up" and get blaimed in the end.

Whatever...They just won't be getting my money is all. I've bought an untold small fortune of items (as well as my wife) and between the two of us, only one box out of 11ty billion has not gotten to where it was supposed to in the past 4yrs.

I'll survive buying my brake pads and wiper blades elsewhere.

the only thing we have had get lost was a memory card for a camera and I think it just fell behind a shelf or something. just one of those honest mistakes because when they found it 8 months later we got it.
but that sucks that they wont ship your stuff. even people that don't ship usps normally will help us out and do it for us.

Here Ryan just for you from today.

Mr. Lewis I read over a email you had sent to a friend and fellow race of mine Ryan. I was rather upset as to how he was answered about the APO shipping system that you have there. The APO shipping is over seen and regulated by USPS and all regulations are set by USPS. There is no difference in shipping APO mail than it is shipping an item to NY, FL, TX or HI. It is handled in the same manner that it is done in the continental US. If there is a problem with shipping to an APO as you say there is then maybe you should look at the way your company ships items through USPS. If you use the proper forms and addition security means then there should be no problems with shipping to APO addresses. If there is a problem then you can simply fill out a PS Form 1000 to claim the items missing from USPS. With a little research you can solve all your problems with APO deliveries. I have 12 years Automotive, Heavy Trucks and Agricultural Parts experience shipping with USPS, UPS, FED Ex, DHL, Global, Road Way and a few other. I also hold a F5 ASI in the Army which is Postal Operations since 1991. I speak German and know 80% of all automotive parts in the German language and have worked in a German parts store. I was also a Store manager for Advance Auto Parts in the US. I am pretty sure that I have a good grasp of shipping to and from APO's. I hope this will help you in your troubles with APO shipping.

The information that has been given you is false. All ACCOUNTABLE MAIL items can traced in the MPS. All equipment is the same used in the US. I track items from and to APOs all the time on the USPS.gov website. All these items must be logged by COB at ANY PO. If you have any issues like before ask to speek directly to the Post Master at your local GMF. That PM should be able to correct the issue on the spot. I have had the same issues before when vacationing in the US. Tried to send some parts back to my APO and they wanted to charge me Global Priorty rates. Sometimes I get stuffed by Customs as well and I have to sort all that out too. I wish you the best on getting this all sorted out and that you have no more problems with APO shipping.

Thanks for your email. When we have had losses after shipping to APO addresses, we have been told that once the shipment gets into the Military's system, packages are untraceable and losses not recoverable. We have lost literally thousands of dollars and worse than that, had numerous upset customers who we obviously had to refund. Perhaps it is a problem with how our warehouse has handled the shipping of the items, that is certainly a possibility. As a result of your email, I will contact a USPS representative next week and see what we might be able to do to resume service to APO addresses if indeed there is a way to track packages all the way to their destination and recover losses if and when they happen.

DO NOT post APO Addresses, full Names, Ranks/Job Titles, Work Addresses. Be careful with posting phone numbers.

This is not only a safety and security violation (don't make me dig for the paragraph); the info could be used for identity theft; u could receive bad joke surprise packages, etc.... whatever, I do not want any of this happen to my friends.
