Also, apart from missing the Firebird, the Pontiac lineup at the moment doesn't look bad ... (if you ignore the SUVs) Seems like GM put all the decent body designs under the Pontiac brand (thank God for dropping the Aztec!!!), and all the crappy ones (except for the Vette, the Monte Carlo is bearable, too) under the Chevy one ... (and don't even get me started with the Daewoo-Chevy cars ...)

The Solstice is the first of many upcoming new models from GM that was completely designed under Bob Lutz. The Solstice is a fine auto. Not as great as the new model Miata but definately better than many of the older versions of Miata.
The LS2 Solstice is a reality but not from GM. Check out http://www.malletcars.com for your LS2 400hp+ Solstice.
The GXP will be unveiled this month. 260hp from a TURBOcharged ecotec motor? Sign me up. Why they supercharged the Cobalt SS I'll never know.
New Camaro unveiled this month too. Exciting times.

New Camaro? Officially?
I recon I will be hitting a Pontiac dealer next time on leave and take a look at the Solstice ... need to plan on if/when the MR should ever break down for good ... (which should still be a while, knowing Toyota reliability ...)
Just seen: Monte Carlo SS has the variable 4/8 cyl operation option ... run on 4 for economy, run on 8 for power ... nice ...

Just noticed - the standard Solstice has a 2.4L engine @ 170some HP ... the turbo version uses a 2L engine for 260HP ... !?

It's not my fault you suck at the internet. Think of it this way, I'm a bigger geek than you

I wonder if Opel is using the same base of the Solstice for their new GT ...
http://www.hln.be/hln/cch/det/art_165534.html
Edit: According to this article, the same base is used for the GT and the Saturn Sky ... no V6 or V8 planed for the GT, though ...
