... a couple years ago (2001?) I thought the 32MB flash card for my 1.3megpixel camera was big... just got a 1GB card today for 60€ ... even with the highest resolution and quality, my camera says I have 1100+ pictures of space on it ... (at 2000xsomething) Lots of space to take pictures when diving in Florida or visiting the Charlotte auto fair :)

It get´s even more ridiculous if you got 1GB as MiniSD in a got damn cell phone  The entire memory evolution is just crazy.
I got a old 20MB hard disk at home. It´s as big as a phone book.

yeah, anybody remember when computers had like 16 or 64K(!) of memory total? And 170k of floppy disk space ... just delivered a dual NAS system today, 1.5tb netto space each ...

Tell you what - the games back then were more fun than some of the new things being around now ... :)

yeah your right, and even the 1 gig is not enough for the cellphone anymore.

I have a 1 gig in my cellphone that i use with navigation software.
unfortunately it is too small  to fit the complete road maps from europe on it... I need a 2 gig card for that :?

well at least when i dont need navigation i can fit about 18 hour of movies on it and watch them during gridlock (thats a lot of seinfeld and simpsons episodes)

this technology goes so fast, nowadays propably a cellphone has more power then a late 80's state of the art home computer
