I talked with Bruce right before I left Iraq late last year.
He is quite busy, I assure you.

He is still downrange. His unit was one of the ones that got extended. He is having it rough, but doing OK.

I spoke to him yesterday. He is doing as good as he can. He should be home in about a month.

Yes we Got the Bonous adventure tour in Baghdad. This has been the hardest 14 months of my life. But we are starting to pack and set to redeploy next month.
I plan to come to the Oct race Hawk is running but not ready to be raced. I still got the welded up rear diff in it. I have to tune up the engine it will be ready for next year. I do plan to bring my son to the last race in the station wagon Plan to BBQ and drink beer and talk smack. for next year. I will retire in november and stay in germany for a couple more years.

Bruce
Glad to here your surviving. I had the same thing when we got hit with the 15 month rule. It sucked . I thought I was never going to leave. I was mad , mad to the point that we go out of the wire and crush stuff with my road racing M88A1. When I finally convoyed and made it to Kuwait I was happy .
On other news I got a Detroit locker for sale.

I will be in kuwait around 7 sept. Well 15 months is not healthy as a 1SG in a combat zone. Yes I will be at the last bitberg to see all you guys/gals and unwind. I will work on the hawk this winter so it will be ready for next year.

Bruce,
The LSX shootout is at Memphis this year. I think the dates are mid October. I plan on taking the NX and competing in the Power adder / stock C.U. class. You and Bruce Jr. should come on over. My dad lives an hour up the road.
