A pun here and there is always OK I recon ... as long as we get together to beat down on the imports and ricers ;)

Btw, anybody saw that one import in Bitburg last time, huge rear spoiler? On the first run he did, I told Ben: I bet he doesn't even make it to 15.

Boy was I off. First run was a 17 (though the guy said he did better on later runs). Anyway, walked the grounds Saturday evening and came across a couple of guys, including him. I suggested to him to try and take it off for the next day's runs and see if it doesn't speed him up a bit :) ... don't know if he would have tried, as we didn't do any runs on Sunday due to rain. Just know I saw him with spoiler at the AutoX.

Anyway, one of the guys with him whom I told I hoped I didn't make him mad said the folks kept telling him the same thing :)

But the Ford one isn't bad, either

I used to own a Ford truck (kept that quiet in the Chebby circle), but a BASTARD thief relieved me of it last Wednesday night. Would like a SSR to replace it, but they are just too darn expensive.

Stef,

Sorry to hear about your truck. I guess they needed it more than you did  .

Well, let that be a sign ;) Hope it's covered by insurance (though you usually don't get the actual value out of them if it's well-kept ...)

Just found this comment on the TopGear homepage about a test they did of the F150 Lightning ...

Quote:
Ford F150 lightning

So, what IS the world's best selling car? Well, the title gives the game away a bit, but still, we think you will agree, it's a bit of a surprise to find out that it's a car you may well never have heard of. But it's also a surprise that the world's favourite car is a Ford. And that it's a pick-up truck.

But what is truly the biggest surprise of all, is that the world's best-selling car is pretty hopeless. Although we do accept that the F150 isn't really made for the UK it's also suffering from a rather large dose of "American build quality". So, basically, the inside looks like it's fashioned out of old melted boots, and none of the trim fits properly.

The 380bhp engine is the same as the one you get in the Ford GT. Which means it can propel you to 60mph in 5.8 seconds. Which, let's face it, is remarkable. What is slightly worrying is that for a car with that much power, it seems a little badly made. So, it's entirely possible that while you are whooping and hollering about how fast your truck can go, you won't have noticed that the steering wheel has come off in your hands and that you are, in fact, heading for a ravine.

Damn Stef sorry to hear that. Just a normal F150? Nothing nice like a SVT was it? Sure that there can be a replacement for it. What are the SSR's going for in Germany?

Gents,

I have one simple question?

Why are some members of this site (F-Body Europe.net) always judging and criticizing what ever goes on at MM?

I can (and I believe there are many like me at MM) take lots of jokes in regards to the Ford vs. Chevy vs. Mopar vs. Pontiac vs. Rice/Euro Trash but I can not tolerate when the jokes start getting personal.

Yes, I did edit your comments and I did edit the other "culprit" comments as well. IMHO, it was starting to get out of hand so I fix it to avoid what appeared to be personal attacks.

As a moderator at MM it's my responsibility to take care of stuff like that.

Then you come over here and call us (MM) "insecure & internet thugs"? WTF brother, I'm sure you are better than that. Why the moderators here at FBE tolerate threads like this one? Instead of inspiring friendship and camaraderie between the two sites and members (and since over 50% of each site are members of Army, AF, Navy/MC), it instigates frictions and a bunch of other stuff.

Please don’t take this the wrong way since I don’t hold grudges against anyone. It just ticks me off that I see comments like this one.

I may not be a "full time poster" over here at FBE but I do lurk the site several times a day since I want to know what is going on with the competition.

If you guys have such of hard time the way we do business at MM and we are such of knuckle heads, thugs and so insecure why do lots of the FBE hang around MM so much?

@Gary

I don't think he was refering to your car being Euro Trash. Just like I don't hate all imports. Honda made one heck of a pressure washer that I am using down here . :D

@ Naz,

I have been contemplating the issue for the past couple of months! I may even try tomorrow. I need someone who has done it a few times to coach me! Since I cant stand me sucking at anything, I need some good advice and someone to ride with me or even drive the Snake and show me how its done!

May be tomorrow Ill ask Roy to help me. But I want to try it!

Naz
