actually, according to the docs I got from Tony, it's rollbar between 10.0 and 11.99, and cage below 10.0 ..

There is a change dated this year. If I am wrong I would rather do a bar. 10,99 or quicker is cage and I plan to run 10's next year.

Everything that I have heard or read says faster than 12.00 needs a rollbar and faster than 11.00 neds a full cage. Also when you have a cage, the window net is also required.
Get working there Bruce!! Chop chop!!!

I have also heard a cage is required if speed exceeds 135 mph regardless of the E.T. I only want the rollbar for now. If a cage is needed later, then I will get the 10 pt conversion. I was looking at the Wolfe Racecraft website last night and I think I could live with the notched door bars. Either that or the bars would need to be removable.
Yo Bruce, when you research price, get the price with the jig-notch included. This is where they basically install it on a platform just like our car and cut everything to size and mark the bars where they need to be welded.

Let me know what you find out Bruce. I wanted one this year but no one would ship it. Can you believe that? I'm the king of shipping chit here! LOL
Yeah keep me posted.
What we need to do is try to shave a good 100lbs off the car or slightly more to compensate for the cage because it's that heavy. Don't need more weight.
Anywhere we can weigh our cars over here? I feel like a porker. I'm shooting for 3400lb's next year. Don't know where I'll find it.

I have to be sure to keep a stock headed LT1 in the top 5!LOL

The 6pt bolt-in really wasnt all that heavy, or atleast didnt seem like it. I recently went to all air tools, so my install might be alittle faster, but it takes about 2-3hrs to put it in.
Only things that may require creativity are the front mounts. Some of the bolts go thru the frame rail, and it just so happens its real close to the spot your subframes weld up. Doable, but kinda a hassle.
Mine has the swing outs, but I just climb over, the side bars arent really that high, and most of us are used to sliding down into the seat anyway.
Its not gonna come through the post office, your gonna have to go get it from the bulk package place. I had a 18 wheeler coming to my house, but in Europe they make you earn it.
I just hope you dont need your back seat after you install it.

I agree, a roll cage leaves little room for the driver and front passenger, so you can pretty much forget about rear passengers. If you're talking about losing weight, the back seats are probably coming out anyway.
I recommend the Wolfe. Here are some pics:

I'm a little late on this topic but I would have to put my money on John. Even with the 3:23s and a stock chevy rearend I think if he slapped a set of drag radials on he would be tearing into some azz. I know I wouldn't be any competition so I'm out of the ?????? or am I

I was already planning on removing the back seats permanently so access is not an issue for me. I also already figured we would have to pick the thing up at Frankfurt. But if we get a few orders together then maybe we can save some money somewhere. You never know.

give me a call 0170-2366527 or my office (ask for Silke) DSN 483-7221 when you plan to come. then I get with the gate and hand you a printout
best would be 430 - 5pm. business closed and trucks gone, but a few people hang out at the gate and talk about cars.
