100 blocks ?
thats standard pinto if i am not mistaken , you need at least 205 block (2wd cossie) or 200 (4wd)
so you should allready have a 200 block if your's is a 4x4
cheers

I know there were 2 700hp Cossie Escorts at Bitburg last year. Too bad they could not get the power to the ground.

Had the car in the hobby shop this friday . The overheating was caused by a cracked coolant resevoir. Ordered a new one and repaired the old one in the interim. Also the compressor bypass valve was ruptured I am waiting on a rebuild kit from England for that. Drained and refilled the fluids on the Tranny and the verteilergetriebe. Now I am trouble shooting a engine miss while initially going into boost.

Whenever that happens on the Syclone 9/10 it's sparkplugs...not that it's going to be that on this car...but I thought I should say something intelligent today.

I am thinking 1)plugs,because they are not the ones tuner recommends, 2) Cables I donot know how old they are, 4) Cap and rotor also I donot know how old they are. I am hoping it is not the Ign amp or the magnetic pickup at the harmonic balancer.
Any body else with suggstions?
When it nots misfiring its pulling like a freight train.

When I had problems with my MR2, it was the distributor cap & pickup (Verteilerfinger) ... they had some kind of salt deposits on them ... no telling if this is what's wrong with the Ford ... should be easy to check both Spark plugs and distributor ...

That sounds exactly like the Syclone with a bad plug. Electrical stuff like plugs / cap & rotor are the kinds of things you should expect to go bad frequently (at least in my experience)

here is a another picture of the catch can. There is no drain tap on it , or vent to atmosphere.
I will mofify it to be like the one in the book and then run a line to the blue intake hose.

strange, you can't use a seperator without a good vent to atmosphere.
but is there even another bottle there ? where does that hook up to ?
i started doing some work on the cossie opel hybrid too, finally got around to start fitting the windows again.
frontwindow went in after some hassle.
now i allso need to sort the cooling problems with higher boost pressures (above 1.6-1.7bar) i might try a bmw m3/m5 radiator as these have nice high coolant working pressures of 2.0bar, that should eliminate the hotsports and a decent airbubbles/ coolant seperator might do the trick hopefully:?:
but then i would propably end up increasing the boost even more

ps. does is have ABS brakes ?
if so could you please post a pic of the head brake cylinder / booster
as it might be electricpowered, just what i might need for the v8 manta due to lack of space for a normal vacuüm brakebooster

Yes it has ABS
Here are the picts. BTW it takes 1liter of ATE Super blue to Bleed this entire system. BTW also Ford thinks their stuff is that good especially when it comes to the price. I had to get a replacement ABS sensor. Price was a 170 Euro. That Cosworth tax is kicking me in the azz.

Does any body know what these type of plugs are and what they go to . They look like some kind of Com port or data port plug but I dunno.
EDIT : They are the plugs for the stero and the amp.

yes cossie stuff is very expensive....
some parts 4-5 times a normal ford part..
how does the brakes feel ? as good as a hydraulic powered system ?
any idea if it would work with the connector from pic 2 disconnected ?
today i slipped and cut my hand with the angle grinder and a 0.8mm thin disk.
doctor said i shouldn't use my hand for at least 10 days
and now the weather next week will be very nice .....
