I guess Jesse does, but I don't think it's fair to say anyone does really, not on a track like that..

Track was shitty. I did all the mods for more power and better launches, but the track was not cooperating. I was burning tires on 1-2, 2-3 shifts. It sucked.. My best MPH was 84. My best ET was 9.291, best R/T was .512. It was fun though....

The track was a sad sight. Too much dirt and pebbles.

I had a really good time. Some would say I even had a blast. Hehehe. Well my engine did anyway. It was just a long night / morning waiting to get back to Wuerzburg with ADAC. Just want to thank Tony and Glen for the tow to the gate.

Let's see, my best time was 8.858, best R/T was .290 (oops that was the red light), really 0.669, best MPH was 85.55. Like Everyone else said. The track was gritty and slick, so no traction. It was fun though!

so what's the story on your engine Rob? Head gasket or what? I've been there with the ADAC thing, I feel your pain.

Yeah Dave, the first diagnosis was a head gasket. I haven't heard differant from Opel, they had their plate full last week and will look at it this week. Haven't heard from them yet. I was going to go today but got too busy getting ready to be locked down on post for a week. But I will keep you all posted on the progress, I might just need a shoulder once I get the bill for this.
And the ADAC... yeah that was a pain. They sent the repair truck. I told them to send the tow truck. Then they sent a little truck, and the driver said that he wasn't going to Wurzburg. That he was going to take us to his shop, and drop us (us = the wife, the dog and myself) off to wait for the other truck. Well we got home at 0100, and I was to meet to go TDY at 0445. I don't even want to mention the rental part. I really like ADAC though. I am glad I have it.

Your starting to sound like ADAC. And don't think I won't drive that far for a hug, and a shoulder to cry on.

Pretty uncommon for a head gasket to go on a LT1. Dont know what happened with you, but even boosted LT1's dont have head gasket problems.

So... uh... Dave... What ya asking for that LT1? I thought you were just selling the block. So does that come with the coomputer? I wish I did this when Randy was still here. O, but get this, Opel guy tells me that he can get me a new engine (3.4L V6) for, sit down now, 6500DM. Then another 2 to 3k DM for labor. I just giggled. I wonder if that was before the VAT form?

No, I'm not selling it complete. But, you can get it finished up for that price, if not less. What I'm selling is the short block minus heads, intake, the normal accesories. I'm not sure of all I will be taking because Tony is handling the new parts. My first offer is $1200, and I will find out all the poop for you. The car is going to Tony's shop next saturday (17th).
