Since it looks like the german race scene is starting to get official again, how about a top 10 (or whatever) NA and PA list. Most tracks open early spring, and the 10 days of german summer usually starts somewhere in there also, so there is time to work it out.

We could also have a top 1 lap time list for auto x's (I mean how many times can you list Roy? :) J/K )

Rules would be simple, scan a copy of your slip and send it to the responsible party. Oh, and one more thing, no "Photo-shop" editing of the LS1 slips ;).

At least for OSL, I guess there will be records kept for people's runs ... apart from that, it will be hard to compare times - conditions usually vary too much to just compare times 1:1 ... also, tracks aren't "tracks" usually, so just converting times to sea level values isn't too fair, either ... only way to go is probably awarding points for single events like F1 does ... that way, all times can be compared ...

If a person does drag racing and can't figure out that a 13sec car at Bandimere raceway in colorado would kick the hell out of a 12sec car running in Houstan, then they have issues.

I've seen them(lists) on most of the boards, and they certainly arent all running at the same track. There is no money or awards in this, it is just a way to keep the B.S'ers honest, and give people a goal to shoot for, or legitimate bragging rights.
And besides, wouldnt it be kewl to re-post peoples comments about they're upcoming "uber" motors (myself included ;) )then make 'em squirm about the results (or lack of)

Basically it would be a place to "put up or shut up."

......now if I could just get Jamey to sit this one out :-ok:

Rob.... I hate to break the news to you, but if I am not mistaken, Jesse will be stationed close to you soon... I am sure he will not hesitate showing you those cool new tips that he has on his exhaust:)

In all seriousness, we need to hook up once I get back to the states.. I know you can beat me.......

That's a damn good idea i'm all for it. I'll only be doing the dragg racing portion however. I don't want to tak a chance of messing up my car in autocross.

Where's he at? I may be heading to San Antonio. What am I up against. Hell I don't care. If I lose I lose. I just want to have some fun. But I will show off my tip down the track if I can.

I think it's a good idea. At each race, everyone will be racing the same track, so what figureing are you talkin about? Any lack of numbers will clearly be my fault, not the cars. ;)

kewl, we can hook up at Ennis, they are always having some kinda event.

If you get hear in spring, I'll be at the Winston Cup race in April at Ft. Worth.

and BTW, I never miss a chance to bust LS1 chops, I do it as a joke, unless the person takes offense, then I do it as a bigger joke. Everyone hopefully expects that from me by now.
Peace all

OK, well I should be down there about feb time frame. So since you said you like handing LS1's their ass, what are you using to do that, other than driving? I wasn't sure how upto date your mods were on your website.
I need some practice on a track, but that won't stop me trying and talking BS!! But yeah we'll have to get together and doa little racing. Sweet

I also noticed you have the GW traclink. Is your quiet and what do you have the pinion angle set at? It's a PITA to change the angle.

never said anything like handing ls1's they're ass(dont know where you got that)

yeah I have the trac-link, but we must have differant models, cuz changing the the angle isnt a big deal for me.
I also couldnt tell you what angle it is set at, more like a trial and error, until I found something I liked.

As far as a mod list, I'm going to do it once I'm done. Alot of little stuff mostly, not alot of power producers.

If you havent been in Tx before, you'll love it, performance shops everywhere, and 11 maybe 12 months of good car driving weather.

This is a good idea and sounds like fun. I think we need Jamey seeing how he clearly has the quickist LS1 on the board.

This is where I got it from.

How do you adjust you Traclink? Mine you have to take the bracket off the dif, then take the bracket off the arm, turn the sperical joints and put it all back together.

True, true...right now she's pretty damn slow!!!

I ended up ordering a 422 LS1 stroker from ARE and a ATI S/C from GW. Nick says the motor will be able to handle 18lbs of boost but I'm gonna run 10-12 lbs.

I also may swap trannies to a built TH350, not sure yet.

I'm shooting for hi 10s, so we'll see.

Well..........just, WOW!!!!

I would think that type of build-up doesnt happen everyday. Wonder if its gonna be a feature in some rag?
Pretty soon, you'll be out playing with George Baxtor, Madman and Sled in the EZ street class.

G'luck

High 10s huh? Well since you hit 11s on the stock lower end, I have no idea why you are downrating you driving skills. How could you possibly only drop one sec with that kind of buildup? I would be surprised to see that setup NOT hit the 9s.
