already told you once, its a knock module, little chip about 1"X3/4 that fits in the PCM.

Helps in the fight against false knock because of headers and such.

You can loose horsepower when your engine has Knock Retard. The LT1/LT4 Knock modules help clear all that up. It puts your engine on a smooth running basis. Upgrading to the LT4 knock is a good upgrade and it's a pretty cheap one it's only about $50.00

you can put the KM in and wrap thread tape around the actual sensor in the block to keep the PCM from pulling timing by the handfuls when it "thinks" it senses engine knock.

Krazy once you get into these cars you'll know more than you want to. Hopefully the previous owner already had the main problems before you picked it up. (OPTI)(WATER PUMP). Are you still driving the hell out of it. I know when I first got mine I must have logged a 1000miles in the first week.

Yeah, I will figure these cars out sooner or later. Just haven't had much of a chance to tinker around with it. Once I start messing with it I will learn fast.

Can't say as I am babying it, but I am not putting that many miles on it. Basically to work and home. That's my life right now. There is still a lot of maintenance I want to do to it. Plan on doing that on my x-mas week off. I did remove the MAF screen the other day. I don't know if it is the colder weather lately or just my mind, but it does seem to pull stronger on the high end now. Did a G-Tech run the other day, missed third gear and still got a 14.04. So I am pretty happy so far. Best I ever got with the Civic was a 14.27. So it is an improvement and like I said I missed 3rd, so the car should be in the high 13s easy.

If the previous owner didnt opt for the Hurst shifter, that would be the first mod I did.

B&M, Hurst or Pro 5.0, or anything, just get a aftermarket shifter in there. Either that, or get used to missing 3rd gear and powershifting will be out of the question unless your into valve float.

Yep, just what I was thinking. I already have a PRO 5.0 shifter sitting under the x-mas tree. I have March under drive pulleys on the way and a Spec stage 3 kevlar clutch kit coming too. It's going to be a good x-mas this year. In February I plan on ordering a cat back. Right now I am looking at the flowmaster 3" single out. I wanted the SLP 2 on the left, but the wife has put me on a budget, so my new motto is "go fast on a budget". Peace
