Well, I have been driving around for about 3 days, and I have been attacked by just about every V6 Camaro or Firebird in Oklahoma. Thats fine, they usually realize before they make an ass out of themselves, of what a mistake they almost made. However, its the imports, domestice 4 bangers that confuse me. Some of them look really nice, some are straight trashy wannabe GT1 cars. I passed a cavalier (very nice looking) on the interstate yesterday (tues) with the dial in still wrote on his window. Now that is cool, and I respect anyone that wants to improve/race/enjoy whatever they drive, but to keep your dial in 3 days after you run is not something you would do unless it was something stellar and you wanted everyone to see it. Ohh...BTW, his dial in was a 11.81.....thats pretty respectable, except for .... it was from an 1/8 mile track!! which means he is a 16.7 - 17.xx 1/4 ..maybe that is stellar, but, a good running HMMWV would probably be all he could handle. I guess, the times they are a changin' |

Hey My automatic escort was a money maker 1/8 mile brackets. placed 15th overall for the season out of 80 cars. Won about 1500 dollars total . Placed first twice. It would rip a 12 second pass in a heart beat plus couple that .5 to .520 reaction time . It wasthe bracket bomb. |

Actually, Roy, my friend's mom had an escort when we were seniors in '92, and it was pretty quick now that I remember. He used to screech the tires in first, and I thought that was just the coolest thing.. |

I think this term applies for both people and cars Little man syndrome. Or for those four cyl little Car Syndrome they always want to pick a fight with the big boys. |
