So I call this place the says "They specialize in Corvette..." ..lists all they're specialties ie. exhaust, tranny, shocks.... and I ask them if they could install a spring shock combo for me. He says "what kind of springs?" Me "Eibach" He says "what are those? lowering springs?" Me "Well, they do lower it, but these are progressive rate springs for handling mainly." He says "I dont like messing with springs, because we dont have the equipment to do it." Me "......" click Midas wont do it, because of warranty bull, (read no real profit in it for them) Screw it, I will quit being lazy and do it my damn self!! |

going from Germany were it's difficult to find a performance shop. To the states were it's still hard to find one. If you have the springs the auto craft on sill should have a spring compressor. Then all you have to worry about is installing them and alignment. |

A hydraulic press will make simple work out of the front, But I didn't have so I used the springcompressors. Well the stock springs were pretty easy to compress. But when it came to the 590 lb H&R springs that was a goddam freaking bear. The back is a snap. |

I just refuse to compress/uncompress the springs on the front shocks. Something about being stuck to the far wall in the craft shop with a spring sticking out of my chest doesnt appeal to me. |
