John, I think it is a lifter.. I guess I'm gonna have to take it to Homburg. I've got a few other things I need to get checked out anyway.. Actually, that was the whole reason I painted the intake manifold.. I wanted to check the pushrods..

you were right there man!!! you could have yonked the lifters out right then!?? Do you have a engine stethoscope? If not why?
Hope you all the best......and hopefully it is just a lifter or a rocker.

Rob, I don't have any head gaskets.. Wouldn't I need to replace them? We listened with a stethoscope, and it seemed to be coming from the back..

Jack, that looks fab, do you want to do mine?
I had a look at your web site, which one is you, are you in the engine or holding something up?
What make is the clear air box lid? What improvememts did it five you? Is that a K&N too?
What make is the MAF (I think, sorry not too technical, the bit that connects to the air lid)?
How do you keep you engine bay so clean? Mines all gunked up, probably due the Waxoyl!!

should be able to loosen the rockers, pull the pushrods, then get right at the lifters. just keep all the pieces in order.

Jagsy, The lid as an MTI clear lid with Thunder Racing MAF ends. I have the same MAF ends, but I have the MTI Carbon Fiber lid. The lid is supposed to give about 10HP or so. They did a writeup in GM HP Mag a month or so ago. The filter is a Holley Powershot.
Jack, what was wrong with your lower airbox?

Jagsy, I keep the engine bay clean with CD2, or anything really.. I wash it whenever I wash the car.
