There's a new yellow Saleen Mustang in town, sounds very mean. The red one you saw at the carshow last year is still around, the silver one is gone. The silver one was shipped back to the states and sold for a $5000 profit. They actually go up in value! Sounds like food for the Hawk! |

Yep, that would be my 1SG. If it is the same one... with a wide black stripe on the hood and S281 on it, also a 001 on the front right bumper? Well I think it is a kit, he is really vague when he talks about it. It does sound nice, and he said something about 3.73 gears. I will smoke him when I get my car back. RT1 |

You guys aren't nervous about a couple of S-281's are you? Are any of them 281-E's? Are there any S-351's around? ![]() ![]() |

The silver one was a S351, the guy sold it after he bought a lame brand new M5 Beamer. Man, I wish I had that kind of money! |

I resemble that remark! Dude, all I see are words, spaces and a little punctuation. Most of what I read is flame about all other cars. It's rare to find an individual that can appreciate a car like BMW "M" motorwerks puts out. Straight line is fun. But to me, more fun would be hangin' with the M5 at 160+ mph through the bends and imperfections in the road. Hell, on some of these back roads you better be on your best driving behavior cuz some of these little German hatches can embarrass you pretty easily. ![]() ![]() I miss ma M3 sometimes. Then I remember the debt I had with it:-pat: |

Well, I think everybody knows that M5s aren't lame and that my comment wasn't serious. I was just trying to show how nice it must be to be in a situation where you can just buy a brand new M5 with a Saleen S-351 still sitting in your driveway or to even have that kind of choice (between TWO awesome cars!). I agree with you on the staight line thing. Suspension will be my next project on the "oldtimer" because I do want to hang with the little and big hatchbacks in the curves. 17" rims and low profile tires are the start for this year. I love all kinds of cars, but sh*t talking is just part of the auto hobby. |

I wish could get my Camaro to drive as smooth at 90mph as my BMW does at 120 ... hope the suspension stuff I'm doing (as soon as Tony gets my parts in) will stiffen it up a bit ... heck, I'll probably take the Beemer down to Sembach to the Porsche AutoX just to see how good it handles ... at least then I'll have a chance in the "X" class (that's their class for Non-Porsches) ... ![]() |

Yo dude, are you up there at Conn barracks? That's in Schweinfurt (sp) right? Is the 10th Eng Bn still up there? I like sh*& talk too. I just can't keep up with what's under everyones hood these days. It's not your standard question of small block or big block anymore. But, in the end it's still an internal combustion engine, cept for those weird Miller cycle and Rotary engines. ![]() |

I actually work in Wuerzburg, but live in Schweinfurt. The Conn Auto Skills Center is where I do most of the work. The Manager, Glen Ward, is a good friend of mine. He's going all out this year with his Camaro. Three words: Hole in hood! |
