Just something I stumbled across on F-Body.com the other day is a very useful section where you can recommend or slag off the people you buy from. Unusually, they don't give a hoot and LG Motorsports and RK Sport, for example, get very poor reviews. Worth looking at before buying. I was able to praise BMR and slag off Jim Pace. Feels good knowing you can make a difference!

not just trying to jump on the other side of the arguement. But have you ever thought about the chance of a isolated incident.

Both Jim Pace and Scoggin-Dicky did great by me with my engine buildup. But Scoggins did send me a pretty beat up cam. Things happen, and I do believe in holding people accountable for they're actions, however with they're volume of business, things do get messed up.

Then there are the leaches out there that try to get everything for free, so I can see why they are hesitant to just send out, or refund at the drop of the hat.

I do hope you get your airfilter snafu straightened out, but its also not like you ordered a MTI 396 and got a 3.8ltr.

Hey I gotta stand up for RK. I had a problem with them one time and just gave them a call. They are real nice and got everything worked out, and a free shirt when he found out that it wasn't a free call from Germany on a 1-800 line. I do understand that they do have some high prices... but it does get here in about a week and a half.

There is a guy from Pace on the board... send him an e-mail, and yell at him. Hehehe. I haven't done any business with them, and with the problems you have had, probably won't.

I accept that every bad supplier can equally be a good supplier on their day but it's risk management. It's irrelevant whether it's an isolated incident when they refuse to rectify it when you have a cast-iron complaint.
Incidentally, you have to score different things beside service and I gave Jim Pace a 9.5 for speed of delivery so it's not like I'm just picking on them, it's just their service that got a fat zero. I found the site useful to find those dealers who get a straight 10 across the board, especially for service. Some dealers get low scores and they may well be the "odd isolated incidents" but it's no consolation when the risk of your being one of those incidents is high. Maybe in the States, it's less of a big deal but when you're 3000 miles and $150 carriage away, it's just bad service. Trouble is, it's boiling down to Hobson's choice since a lot of these people don't appear to export outside the USA (except to you Forces guys).

I have worked with Chris at Katech and that company stands behind there products For instance broken spring got me a complete new set with overnight shiping. He also wanted my broken spring to get it tested to determine the cause of failure.
