I sent her an emailto which she replied.
They're making a commercial for the VW Polo. The plot is that a Polo and a Camaro race to get the last parking spot in a parking garage. The Camaro wins, but is too big to fit in the spot, so ultimatly the Polo wins. Once it's done, they want to present it to VW to see if they want to use it. There's no money involved for the Camaro owner.
I said "NO THANKS!"

Well, at least it shows what ger,man cars are made of: All reason, no emotion.

That spot will backfire anyway - so letÃ‚Â´s give it a shot.

At least the car gets famous.

Did anyone really expect to get paid? That sounds cool to me. Who cares if you can't fit it in to a parking spot.... it's a commercial. I bet there aren't 2 people here who can say their car has been in one.

It's not even that. But why would I want to drive to Stuttgart and have my car in a VW Polo commercial that nobody will ever see? Besides, I think the whole point of the commercial will be to show that owning big, American cars is stupid compared to the "smart" Polo. Just what we need, more friggin' Polos!! By the way, I found one in my air cleaner the other day, is anybody missing one? lol

That is true, but I'd like to think nobody thinks the polo is faster than any camaro..unless the 'maro is sitting still, of course..

... same with the size: everybody knows the Polo IS smaller than the Camaro - I don't see a problem.
But the people watching the commercial will say: uhhh what a nice car... (and NOT mean the Polo...)
and everybody having a choice, money, or big enough garage will rather buy the Camaro than the Polo.
And everybody with some brain will know:
This is only to give the people NOT having the choice
a justification for themself WHY to buy that ***** Polo...
(they propably would have picked a Mercedes but there is the little Mercedes, so there would be the choice to pick the smaller instead the Polo. That's why they have to find a car which is not coming with a baby brother)

If you just want to park - buy a Polo!
