and hopefully not my last here.
I just stumbled on to your site and thought it'd be interesting to check it out, see how many Camaro's are in Europe and hopefully make some new friends.
My wife and I live in the middle of the U.S., have three Camaro's are very active in the Camaro Club of Kansas City and are at cruises and shows from April through September. Then the weather turns crappy and I get time to rest and do whatever fixes or restoration that nedds to be done.
Are most of your members owners of newer Camaro's? or are there allot of first generation cars in your club?
Please reply, let me know who you are and what cars you have. Check out the Kansas City site and if you're going to be in the U.S. let me know.

Hey man. How's it going? Most of us have 4th gens, but there are several 1st, 2nd and 3rd gens, too. We cater to all years in FBE... ;) I myself have a '99 Z28...

Later.

I have a 96Z. This board contains both US Military and German Nationals. This is definately a great board for meeting people from all over the US and Europe. Glad you stopped by:)

We don't discriminate. All in good fun and the more the better. Majority though are 4th gens. Started out as US servicemen and branched out from there. If you know any military folks heading our way send 'em here.

I am one of those Germans... working for the US since 1986.
Got a '84 Camaro and a '76 Aspen R/T and they may not be the last ones I bought. Just like them old cars better than the new ones.

I got to looking around the site a little more after I posted this topic and figured out that most of you were probably Military personel stationed in Germany. I don't guess there's allot of English speaking locals? Anyway, thanks for the replies. I saw a television program on Speedvision that went to an American only car show over in England and was surprised how many classics and muscle cars that were over there. Are Camaros pretty easy to buy in Germany? I mean can you just go to a dealership and pick one up?
There's a GM site that's directed at the middle east - Saudi Arabia mostly. The cars on that site were Caprices etc. with 300+ hp LS1's. Things that they won't sell in the U.S. kind of like the Holden and an El Camino looking version (I can't remember what they called it) that they sell in Australia, both are rear wheel drive LS1 powered available with six speeds.
I have a '97 SS with all SLP options and six speed and two first generation Camaros. We are currently looking into buying back a '69 SS that we sold a few years ago. The two first gens we currently own are original and I want one that I can modify. The dilema is whether or not we should keep the '97 or not. I am kind of having a guilt trip over having four Camaros, but we'll see.
I'll definately let anybody that's heading your way, know that you are there and to get in contact with you. I'm getting old enough that anybody my age is more likely to retire from the military than they are to join. My wife and I are planning a trip to England in the next year or so and will probably pick somewhere else in Europe to visit also, if I get a chance to see Germany, I'd definatly like to meet up with you guys. It'd be fun to see a Camaro club in another country. I was looking at your activities area and saw your count of participants at each of your events. In some cases you were pretty disapointed with your turn out, but it's not any different here in the states. Our club currently has over 80 members. Sometimes we're lucky if four cars show up for something. We have a "Camaro-Fest" every year in September and that's been doing better every year though. This year we hope to have 100 Camaros.
My wife and I are planning to go to the National Corvette Museum for a 1,000 F-body event in September. Should be allot of fun, especially if they get 1,000 cars.
Sorry for the long post. I'll talk to you later.
