Well it finally happened. My engine disintegrated. After the local Opel dealer did the rings to prevent the excessive oil consumption problem, per GM TSB. I guess they blocked an oil passage to the left head and it chewed the valve spring seats, cracked four valve springs, cracked the head where number 2 rocker sits, and sent metal shavings through the whole engine. I am so pissed right now. I guess she's out for the summer or untill GM gives approval to replace the engine. I just wish I could do it myself. Sorry for the rambling, I just had to vent.

Anyway, Good to be back and I hope to be at some fbody gatherings anyway.

Peace,
MIKE

Damn that's messed up. I hope it gets resolved soon. Nothing worse having your pride and joy go down by someone else.

Sorry to hear that I know it sucks. Think of it this way though you still have a warranty and your engine is going to be zero miles again can't beat that.

Bruce always trying to scam someone:)

believe it or not, GM wants them to take it apart to see if it can be repaired. They must be on liquid crack. I can tell this is gonna take more time and patience than I have.

Post subject:  Easy way to speed em up.

Ask em for rental car.

A really expensive one, try a ´Vette or an Caddilac STS.

They wanted to give me an Opel Agila when the tranny bit it on mine and said 3 weeks. I demanded a Vette or a V8 Maro or STS which they did not have.

So i ended up with a brand new V6 Vectra for one week and a new tranny in 6 (!) days :)
