I got my baby back. After a month of mayhem, it's finally finished. The Opel dealer had me worried from the start. Replacing the engine on an LS1 fbody ain't no joke. Not only did they pull it off they put my blue bolt caps and blue wire loom back. It looks like new. It sure feels tight again. I hope this one lasts longer than 14,000 mi. Can't wait to break it in and hit the Bahn.

It may be a lot of hassle having a new engine but I'd put up with it to lose 14k and not have to worry about changing the car for an extra year or so.Better if it was 50k like mine though!

Maybe next time I will go to a different dealer... HMMMM.
Seriously, though, they might not be so willing to replace it next time..
