Call this guy. We saw him today and he has a 396 in his impala SS. He also is running a 22psi turbo. He had problems with getting his to run the first time. He said you can call him. His name is HEINZ SCHENK 0171 6379651 or 0721 6639450 |

Willis was the one who introduced us... His car is cool, but 561HP with a 396 on 22 PSI of Turbo? That seems low... |

Um I do believe there is a small difference in the way horse power is measured in Germany. But you also got to remeber his torque is over 600 ft lbs. 22lbs is a lot of boost Iwould expect some where in the neighbor hood of 800 hp. |

I think he said it was measured the same. It was from a formula one place in austria. He said he dynoed with 22psi. I wonder if PSI is what is measured different? I know it wasnt 22bar....LOL BOOM |

Dont want to split hairs, espicially when I dont have all the facts, but 22psi on a 350/355 is alot differant than 22psi on a 396. One of the technicians at IRS gave me a big lecture on it, but the bottom line was 12psi on a 396 would equate down to about 2-3psi. That does seem low on HP, and I know that stroking a motor also increases compression, so 22psi on a 396, what kind of compression does he have??? 7:1!!! Most 396ers seem to way in at around 11 to 13:1. |
