Post subject: | intention of the board.... |
I thought these forums are for people who are like minded to meet and discuss issues: "I.e. people who like/own F-bodys and like to have a chat". After reading recent threads where people are getting hot under the collar, please switch off and come back later when feeling a little cooler. Lets not loose the intention of the board which I feel is "chat / debate / help". After all, I need help and advice from you guys with regard to my Z and I also like peoples different opinions, after all its human nature to have different opinions. Can I please have support on this thread (with no bitterness). |

You are so right! I'm here to help out and chat with others. An occasional smack talking, but that does not give any one the right to say that the members here are weak. I do not agree with any one attacking any one else. |

yes I am in agreement with this. Even though I tend to be grumpy sometimes. We won't get started on that. |

A Geordie is someone from Newcastle, a Brummy is someone from Birmingham, a Scouser is someone from Liverpool, a Taffy is someone from South Wales, a Jack is from Swansea and a puppy is a small dog and so the list goes on. I don't know where the term Geordie comes from. Jagsy, do you know? |

Only in a football sense. There is serious rivalry between Cardiff City and Swansea. The "Jack" part arises from some dog that got washed up on Swansea beach in Victorian times and was taken to the town's heart and adopted. He became known as Swansea Jack back in the old days of yore (he'd go straight to the dog pound now). A common Cardiff chant is therefore "You Jack B*******". As you can see, the football fans are an imaginative and creative lot. |

Thank you for the explanation. It is very interesting, I like this stuff... to know where names or customs originally come from. |
