Hopefully I'll be back in time for the weekend, so I just want to know if I'll be able to hit the 'bahn once or twice before it freezes over.

How should I break in a new engine with a new aftermarket cam?

Does a bear $hit in the woods? Yeah, it's chilly, not quite freezing yet. Don't know about the cam ? though... good luck, and let me know how you break yours in, hope I will be doing the same in a month or two. Have a nice flight back.

Rob

Good luck for the runs (and that you're really coming back as scheduled), and have a safe trip back!

Thanks. I will definitely take it easy for the first 500-1000 miles, but I do want to get in a 100+ run at least once before Winter hits...

A camshaft is broken in about 20 minutes, less for a roller job. Ensure the engine stays around 2K rpms with no load for that time.

Jack, they announced for this week:
Too warm for november average, up to around 16°C,
but wet and wind/storm.
Lucky you, does not sound freezing yet.

Yeehaw, that's what I'm talking about. With my luck, though, it will start snowing by Friday.

Jack, let us know when you get back. Maybe we can get together for a drive or something.

Jerry

so we make a 'jack is back' meet and have you welcome back in home town this weekend?

1. Jack when are u back and can make it?
2. Suggest the truckstop/gasstation Landstuhl exit?
3. Who else is interested?

Plan to meet there, have a Jack-Is-Back cruise down the autobahn/town and finish with a hot coffee/chocolate to warm up afterwards?
