Well, first my replacement has to leave early, because his son needed emergency surgery. I can understand that completely. But now, instead of turning in the paperwork to get my new replacement his orders on time, it just sits around, waiting for someone to turn it in. Well, I'm sick of not being informed, so I call my Platoon sergeant today, because I found out from the operations sergeant (AFTER HAVING TO ASK) that my new rep. is not going to be here on Friday, because they don't have his orders yet. He told me he would call the 1st sergeant, and the 1SG found out in a matter of minutes what the deal was, so my platoon sergeant tells me and I'm like well I'm glad someone was planning to tell me this crap before I was scheduled to leave,

and he's like sorry, I wish I would have known. I was like yeah, I wish you would have too. As you can tell, I hate f\/cked up units who don't take care of soldiers. This happens to be one of them, unfortunately. I think the Army can be OK sometimes, but I don't care what anyone says, the Army really does not care about families. If they did, "they would issue them!"
Ok, I'm done venting. I just wanted to share my enthusiasm with everyone. Maybe I'll get home before I'm scheduled to fly out to Florida (14 Dec).
