At last. Has anyone seen that design study by Ford called (I think) the 427? It's a mean black saloon with projector lights inside a squarish lens and the grille looks like 3 slats of billet aluminium, the slats being echoed beneath the bumper. Very cool with some nice retro cues. The good news is that Ford reckon this is going to be the face of the new Mondeo which is a bit of a result. There are some really good cars being designed now. There's a new modern retro Lancia which is based on the gorgeous Fulvia, probably to be called the Fulvietta) and it's truly stunning. |

I saw the 427 pics that were posted on the Car and Driver website. The car was/is being shown at the Detroit Auto Show. I think the car looks great!!! I dont however see the 427 engine actually being put into production for that vehicle...or perhaps any other, save the GT40 remake if that happens. Any word if thats going to happen or not?? Havent seen anything on that in a while. Patrick |
