Just curious as to if anyone is running this exhaust on their ride... and if so have there been any problems with it? I just ordered it last night since it went on sale... or I caught the end of one... either way... I also got the adapter kit for 96-97 LT1's... My buddy is going to weld it up for me since I am gone and he'll also be removing definately one if not both of my cats.. depending on how hard it is to do the one off the manifold. Has anyone removed the cat's on theirs and if so was there any power loss or goofy side effects? Thanks for the info! Later all! |

It is pretty loud but is good quality. I have the SLP Quiet Stainless Steel which comes with a muffler. |

I have a replica 2.5" version of the Loudmouth. It is loud but not grossly loud. Mine pops and bangs a bit on over-run and that's with the cats.. ![]() |

I don't have the "loudmouth" but I am running Longtube headers into two off-road pipes, 2 1/2 y-pipe, into '3 Borla almost wide open to the right side. Sounds like a f*@king NASCAR driving down the street, no problems. Put the cats on one time to go to the track and I did not like it. I'd say kill'em. Later, Mike |

How do you get through the German tests? Cars in the UK have to have a cat for the MOT test if made after 1992 I think it is. I would have thought Germany would be tougher. |

Germany has the so called "Abgas Untersuchung" which checks whether your car is within the limits defined for that certain make, model and year ... this check is required every two years and you need to pass it in order to pass the regular TÜV inspection ... so, no gutted cats here ... |

That's the easy part.. I'm back in the states.. or was now I'm in Europe.. either way.. I'm getting away with it because I live in NC and my car is registered in WI.... WI has strict emmissions laws but since I operate my vehicle outside the state limits they don't really care what I do with my car.... Just as long as while I'm in WI I comply wit all of the laws... but I don't think the Camaro will ever see there again unless it's on a trailer..... |
