Try AAFES in Mannheim. They have always had stuff in stock for me. I just had to buy a new starter cause one of the lead studs was rusted and broke off. I had to drop $120 for a new one.

I have a friend that has a gear reduction starter that can be turned 360 degrees. He has about 20 starts on it. He wants $100 for it. He bought it for his 88 Camaro. I don't know if it will work(don't know the difference between the two). If you are interested let me know and I can send it to you.

The starter needs to be small, and designed for a 153 tooth, 12 3/4" flywheel. The mounting bolts are straight across.
HotRod, I'm interested in that starter even if it won't fit my SS, it should fit nice in my truck. Who made it? Do you know the stats on it? (gear reduction, hp, etc)
Thanx for helping out!

No, you can see pics of my car in action at cardomain.com or click on the url in my signature block. You need to hear the car to fully appreciate the sweet music coming out of my Flowmaster exhaust at 6,400 rpm, grabbing third, while passing Porsches  Ok, not the turbo ones :( , yet
