What is the altitude around there?
I will be at spangdahlem, but what is the average.

Is there any place to get nitrous filled?

Do they salt the roads during the winter?

Are american car parts really hard to find?

I'm sure I will have more later.
thanks in advance.

Don't know about the altitude, but you CAN get nitrous filled over here. American car parts are kinda hard to find over here, but you can use the WWW. ;)

BTW, I have an IROC rear hatch you might be interested in, as well as some ground effects. Anyway, have fun, and we'll see you when you get here!

Bitburg is in the 1200ft range IIRC ... apart from that, you can find just about anything from sea-level to several thousand feet ... ;)

Definitely ... if you value your car, you may want to store it for the winter and get you a beater ...

well there aren't many 84' parts left on the car, mainly the seats, LOL.

I planned on getting a beater for the winter time, I just have a hard time driving an import, then the though kick's in that I will have an import when I get there cause I will be in europe with an american car :pat:

1200 ft kick ass that is a bit lower than here in phoenix.

I am not in need of any body parts for the car, I like the ground effects that my car has, you don't see to many with the 82-84 Z28 factory GFX.

good... let me make a list

bought an 84 last year which I want to build for my main car,
was a 305 high output with only a defect starter
until we discovered the crack in the block
(it was parked in some shed for 4 years and sold to me as running
and inspection new etc - per ebay)
window seals all around are bad, mirrors broke or dented
but the body is good, no rust except the hood.

plan to drop the 396 in this summer, where I need two pages
long of parts for the transplant, got most of the part numbers.

Yea, I can see why you have 2 pages. Putting a big bill into a 3rd gen is tricky, you need special headers and all kinds of fun stuff. Anything I can do to help from this end, just let me know.

84camaroZ28,

You'll ahve some fun at Spang, I was there for a few years and left back in June of last.. the area isn't much but everything is only about an hours drive away. There are also lots of fun autobahns right out the front gate with plenty of other cars (mainly vette's and my buddy's 94 S/C Z) to race around with. Oh by the way where do you work?

From what I understand.. none of them are any competition.. or atleast they wern't while I was there. But you shouold get along with Hotrod.. he has a pretty beefy 3rd Gen GTA from what I understand.... but I have some incriminating video of him getting beat by a certian pick up truck.. a stock 4X4 at that......

I'd say bring as much as you can. What you may consider "junk" can be someones "gold" over here. Besides, you'll be able to sell it all rather quickly if you wanted to.

Jr thanks, always nice to meet another 3rd gen guy, there aren't to many of us, most guys get scared of the challenge and get a 4th gen! j/k

squirellina: well I will bring what I have left of mine, mostly emmision's stuff, stock comp. dist. and wiring harness, and a few other goodies.

84Z,

I am a 3rd Gen'er as well, just dont have mine here...its back in the states right now, and wont be joining, but just know there are a few of us around.

Interestingly enough, I have been here in Belgium for about five months now and have only seen one, maybe two Stangs. But there are several 4th gens, including a really late model SS, and a new TA WS6, but only seen about three 3rd gens...including one mid 80s Camaro (only seen at a distance or driving the opposite way) with BELGIAN plates!!! (thats just really unusual) Heard about one second gen, but have yet to see it.
