This is the guantlet.
First one to post a 10 sec slip wins.
I got $50 bones on this one so go ahead and collect.
Just for you folks that dont know the back story. I have never, and I repeat "NEVER" lost to a LS1, be it in germany or in the states. My engine just got off the stand and with a stand dyno if I dont say so my self it is truely awesome.
I'm not sure yet it I want to make this an engine only bet, or with forced induction, but either way, its first to the 10's. (and yes, nitrous is forced induction)
So whats up buddy? *grin* (no bruce leg humpers need to respond please) First to the 10's wins? I'm pretty sure that I have the strongest LT1/LT4 on this board (sorry Jeff/John/Mike, its true )are we set to go?
You trap mad/crazy speed, but mine will hook. You up?
Rob
by the way Bruce, your not the only one to play shy and coy about your set up.

Just so we are all clear on the rules. Any, Any, Any...combo of Nitrous, Blower, Stroker can step up. I am just that sure that I will out power, out time and just plain beat you...
The reason I call out Bruce is that he is the only one that runs 8/9 sec mph with 11 sec slips. If anyone else is that fast, you can collect also. By the way, I will do this with the STOCK 7 5/8 rear end and drag radials!!!!...and I'm really not concerned with your brothers, mothers, friends, uncles car. This is your own car with a scaned slip proving its yours. (I know the internet is full of this stuff, and I've probably seen it too.)
Oh yeah, I'm having 4.30's put in my Cobra. Stock everything except gears, CAI, pullies, exhaust. Anyone want to bet against posted time slips on this one(Bruce, your out of luck Jeff, it would be a good race for you, you just need to drop a couple tenths )???? There will be video also BTW.
Rob
Just so everyone knows, I'm not trying to be an ass, Just trying to be a racer.
we also know that the slips are date/time stamped,so if i play possum, or you do, it will all come out in the end..................LOL!!!!

Hehehe, yeah, sounds like a plan. I'm gonna go get a $50 money order along with my $45 one for my passport, (looks like I'm coming to Germany in August)
That way I can throw a frame around it for motivation in the garage. BTW you'll love that QA1 setup. I run my rear shocks on 2 or 3, and it really squats. I havent put any power to it to write home about, but it acts like it works well.
(also I lost my nitrous jets ziplock baggie, so it looks like I'm stuck with 100hp jets.....hope that will be enough)

Yes now maybe you will come to Vilseck. I got a couple hook ups parts and places to hang out. I will match that offer with the $50 bones if I loose. Great to hear you are coming to germany.

Hopefully I'll have my engine back in the car soon. Other wise it will be alittle hard for me to back up my s$it talking. LOL

No offense here! I am mearly trying to step into your realm As we speak my Stage 2 LT4's are being put on with my new Aeromotive fuel system. With current mods probably good for low 12's so even a 100 shot wouldn't cut it. But don't count me out fellas, I won't be long before my car sees a 383/396...
Anyway, my money will have to be on Rob, he is sneaky like Silas and knows his $hit so If I had to bet. I am sure both of you are capable though so it's a matter of who makes it to the track the quickest...good luck to all, Mike

That is what I have been told, but who really knows until I get my car running for more than 5 minutes and out on the track. Maybe with Nitto's and lots of luck I can break that but I doubt it. Just about everything has been replaced except what lays in the depths of that block. I think low 12's is pretty fast especially if I can squirt my my into the 11's. More than enough for a street car that goes to work everyday. I will get it dynoed along with some times when I get back from the desert Hopefully I can back those numbers up, I have only run my car one time, and it was an 1/8 mile track....Mike

I guess you're right. That is pretty good for a LT1. Oops, did I actually type that?? Just kidding. You know I love your car, and if you don't, I DO! Do you still have the Avons??

I seen in GM high tech some stock headed LT1 running 12's . Low 12's in a street car is nasty.
Yep I got a 346. I am sure it is slower than last year but I hope it last longer.

You crack me up! Yeah I still have those damn Avons, they won't go away! They are lasting forever. Trying to find an excuse to get rid of them, like some chrome Z06 18's We'll see when I get back...Mike
