Still malingering about a second car. As a result of my 16 year old daughter reappearing on the scene, the C5 is out the window. Just won't use it enough when there's only 2 seats. Considered a '69 Dodge Coronet 383 but just can't commit to it despite watching Too Fast, Too Spurious. I've been offered a black A4 1998 TA Ram Air. American spec, imported into the UK in November last year, loaded with all the usual extras but carrying 75k miles on the clock. Forget the price for a minute as basically he'll take my gf's 2001 Astra 1.4 in px at market value (ie about 6k). We're just arguing about whether there should be 6500 or 7000 cash to go with it. It's got 16" wheels so I'm assuming it's not WS6. Seller doesn't seem to know much about them. Also available on the web is a 1999 black Z28, Euro spec but only 25k on the clock so we're talking a 50k mileage difference. This is 12k but the px might be a lot lower. Could be the same though if i give him his price. So let's assume they're equal price. Thing is I'm not sure that I want another Z28 that's visually identical to the one I got (or had now I have the stripes) and would obviously prefer the TA Ram Air so I had the salt'n'pepper set. TA's are much rarer in the Uk than the Z28. What would you do? Bear in mind that I'll probably ignore any advice i don't want to hear! LOL. |

How about the TA? Although the Z would be cheaper... Is the TA a convert.? That may explain the 16" rims... All I can say is as long as you are happy with what you get. Either way it IS a F-body! ![]() |

Just get the TA, and do not ask us to tell you what you want to hear... ![]() On the other hand, if they are almost twins you could interchange any parts in case BOTH of them were down for some minor reason - but my experience on that is, usually the same parts go out on both... |
