Howdy all. I made it here on the 1st, and hate the damn heat! Germany is great though. I got to go to the Cars are the Stars show, and sorry I didn't get to meet you all. The rides looked nice though. As a update on my ride, if you care. The motor gave up the ghost while Bryan was dyno tunning it at the Tulsa Impala event. The tranny was slipping in third, and I was loosing over 200HP to the wheels. On the way home, noticed the oil pressure was dropping and my oil was silver. Bearings are shot. So I am building a 383 storker as we speak. Should get the car over here by Nov. Can't wait. Take care and hope to see you guys around soon. Maverick |

Welcome to Germany! Guess you came in time for the first summer in a while ![]() Will you be coming to Bitburg this weekend? Have some fun at least watching a little drag action, even if the car is down ... |

Thanks for the welcome. I did not get to go to the Bittburg race this weekend. I didn't have a ride. Maybe next time I could tag along with some speed freaks. ![]() Got me a house in Hershberg with a big garage. Man I am so relieved. Now I can work on my car whenever I wish. Just hope it makes it over here safely. 700HP and a bad stock tranny should be fun. Anyone know of a good tranny shop over here? Or maybe I should just drop a T56 in. Man decisions are tough. Thanks again and hope to hangout with you soon. Maverick |

There are no good tranny shops over here, your better off just rebuilding it yourself (more fun). I know a couple of good places that you can order from to pretty much make your tranny bullet proof, thats what I am in the process of doing, and if you plan on keeping an automatic alive then definately get a tranny cooler. I am almost done with my tranny rebuild, if you care I will let you know how it turned out. John |

JC, Wish I could rebuild it myself. I hear that about $1000 in tools are required to get it done. If I had them, I would give it a shot for sure. Anything to save a buck. Not sure if I want to stay 4L60E or go with the TH400 or T56. Man it's a touch choice. Budget limited of course. ZBLKHELLRZR, "King of the Hill" huh. I wish. I just hope she runs again. ![]() ![]() Mav |

You only need about $300 in tools depending on your current tool inventory, also if you want to rebuild it let me know I got most of the tool and for the ones I don't have I know the tricks to make sutible subs work. I could give you a hand with it since I am also at ramstein. As for a switching to a T56 or other tranny, they are far and few between. You'll have better luck finding a th400 or th350 over here but who knows the condition. Unless of course you want to pay to have a new tranny shipped. John |
