Hi everyone!

I really need 4 new tires as my stock Goodyear GSC are partly slicks. Now, I've been looking around here at the local tire dealers... no one could help me except one who wanted 220 Euro/tire for new GSCs! However, I wanted to try some OTHER tires.
One tried to order a set of Avons... got the response from Avon that they're no longer made in 245/50R16.

Then I've tried to order via internet, reifendirekt.de and reifen.com

At reifendirekt.de I ordered the Cooper Cobra GTZ... that was at the beginning of October.

At reifen.com I ordered the Kumho Ecsta Supra, got the answer that they are not available and they cannot tell when they will be available.

I don't know what to do now...?

I need 245/50R16 with a speed rating W or Y or Z.

Any ideas? :? Thanks in advance!!!

Ben

Jack: I know that, and I also know http://www.tires.com (thanks anyway) :)

However, I'm German civilian and thought I could find something local first.

Anybody know what size tires go on an 18x 9.5 wheel? How about a 18x10.5 wheel?

Perhaps someone here bought some from the tirerack or discount tire and forgot about them in their basement... BTW, the Coopers are just cheap knockoffs of a name brand tire and shouldn't be considered a great tire for high performance driving. I imagine that you have other tires for the ring?

For a 9.5 wheel you will want a 275-285, and for a 10.5 wheel you will want around 295-305. :)

SSZ28: No I have the same tires for the ring as for everyday driving and that were the Goodyear GSCs for the last 2 years (yes they lasted that long  ).

I replaced my F1's with Potenza RE730's and they are AWESOME! I highly recommend these tires for all applications! :)

I think you've covered all the bases there with Kumho, Avon ZZ3, Cooper and Goodyear. Can't understand why they can't get Kumhos, you can get them here next day. Kumho do a 255/50 x 16 as well.
