Got a phonecall from the states.
Finally a friend found the four control arms I need in decent shape I hope.

He can order only one all new (which would be 400$) or 4 used ones for half the price, going into mail this week.

remember some shop in Mannheim - not to mention any names - pressed out the bushings and ruined the threads and told me the new (screw in) bushings in the trunk did not fit and I ordered new ones for 250 Euro and
then I was told he already ordered different ones which better fit but when I got home the 'old' new ones out the trunk was spotwelded in...
well, to most of you old boring story

however now with the control arms coming and with the second set of bushings I have and a new set of tires the old "Dodge Fbody" will make it back to the road - after more than two years of parking.

I start the old lady up every 2 to 4 weeks and she is moving around in my backyard ... in between 3 different parking spots and is getting mad because she wants to run out on the streets. I just did not want to see her in the ditches with the bushings popping out at 70 mph.

Cool, congrats!!! Glad you're finally getting it streetworthy again after the "bad luck" you've had with it ...
Looking forward seeing your Chrysler F-Body join the GM F-Body cruise some time!!!

Congrats Silke.
But why only in your backyard? You could take the car and drive up some streets in your small town... no one will notice...

they been coming INTO our backyard to discover a 3 weeks outdated TÜV stamp on one of the farm traktors once before...

My yard is open towards the street site, and then they can always say they have seen it on the streets driving by. Who wants to tell a policemen that he's lieing?
